Complete The Scarecrow by recovering the Lover’s Pendant and Letter with a Drawing, returning both to the figure in the Fallen Village field, then following the crows to the nearby barn. The final step is the lovers’ memory in the hayloft, which rewards the Bountiful Harvest Amber.
Start at the Scarecrow in the field
Approach the figure tied to the post near the Fields Lantern and interact with it. You need two possessions before the quest advances: a pendant outside near a tree and a letter inside a house. The barn is a separate destination used after you deliver them.
Find the Lover’s Pendant
Take the short dirt path from the Scarecrow toward the large tree. Look for a corpse beside a cross at its base, then pick up the Lover’s Pendant beside the body. This item is outdoors, close to the quest giver.
You can hand it in immediately or keep it while collecting the second item. Delivering the pendant alone does not unlock the final objective.
Find the Letter with a Drawing
Continue along the village route until you can approach the large house beyond the haystacks from behind. Its front entrance is initially closed, so searching around the original field is not enough to reach the letter.
- Follow the road toward the gate and the open area with a Volunteer guarding a carriage.
- Before entering that area, take the field route toward the large house.
- Enter through the house’s open rear door and go upstairs.
- Pick up the Letter with a Drawing from the table.
- Open the door downstairs from inside to create a shortcut back toward the Fields Lantern.
While crossing the fields, note the nearby barn with a diamond-shaped upper window. The letter is in the large house; the barn’s upper floor is used later. Enemies and explosive bodies can interrupt the route, so clear hazards before approaching them closely.
Return both items and follow the crows
Use the house shortcut to return to the Scarecrow. Deliver the pendant and letter, then watch the crows fly toward the village. This hand-in advances the quest, but does not finish it.
Return toward the field route beside the carriage area and locate the barn with the diamond-shaped window near the large house. If you lose sight of the birds, use that fixed landmark to find their destination.
Enter the hayloft and finish the quest
Go around the back of the barn and find the elevated entrance into its hayloft. Clear any explosive bodies blocking the approach before climbing up. Inside, interact with the lovers’ memory to complete the quest and collect Bountiful Harvest.
Bountiful Harvest restores health when you collect Nephtoglobin. If the quest remains unfinished after returning both belongings, revisit the barn’s upper floor: the memory there is the remaining objective, rather than another item in the letter house.
