To finish Sleeping Beauty, read the daughter's letter in Cursed Hollow, defeat her father for the Headman's Key, then return to her locked house and investigate the spinning wheel upstairs. Waking her leads to a fight; letting her sleep resolves the quest without fighting her. Neither choice restores her to an ordinary, healthy life.
If the starting letter was missing, install the October 21 update and revisit the quest location. The developer specifically fixed that letter's visibility; updating alone does not automatically start or complete the quest in your log.
Find the letter beyond the broken fence
Look for the side route beneath a broken wooden fence in Cursed Hollow, near the approach to the corrupted swamp. Crouch through the gap. A blue memory and a locked house help identify the right area, but the door is not the quest's starting interaction.
Continue across the raised wooden route toward the tree and shrine. Read the letter there to start Sleeping Beauty. It describes the daughter's fear of her father and gives you a reason to investigate the nearby houses. Remember the locked building: that is where you will return after obtaining his key.

Stay on the planks and platforms rather than stepping into the poisoned water. Flying enemies can interrupt the crossing; using your Pistol to remove them before a jump is an optional way to make the route safer.
Defeat the father and recover his key
Follow the wooden crossings into the other house. Read the papers inside, then prepare for the father waiting in the back room. This is a hostile encounter, so talking to him does not substitute for recovering the key.
The confined room leaves little space for retreat. Avoid committing to a long attack while he is starting a swing, and move clear of attacks you cannot safely block. Defeat him and collect the Headman's Key.

Return to the original locked house. The route out of the father's room includes a window and the blue wall-running surface, which can bring you back toward the platforms beside that building. Unlock its door, read the notes inside, and go upstairs.
Decide at the spinning wheel
The notes explain that the father used the plague in an attempt to treat his daughter's illness. Investigate the wheel beside her bed to choose how the scene ends. Read the documents before selecting an outcome if you want the story context for that decision.

| Choice | Immediate result | What you must do |
|---|---|---|
| Wake her | The daughter becomes hostile | Defeat her to finish this branch |
| Let her sleep | She remains asleep as the plague takes hold | Complete the interaction; no fight with her follows |
Choose the second option if your aim is to avoid another fight. Choosing to wake her is not a rescue that returns her to normal. Both branches resolve the quest; the immediate practical difference is whether you fight the daughter.
Missing letter after an older attempt
The official October 21 patch notes identify a bug that could hide Sleeping Beauty's letter. After applying the update, go back to the physical quest location and interact there. The developer says these side-quest fixes do not add or resolve the quests in your journal automatically.
If the letter is present but the door remains locked, continue the father encounter and key step; the letter itself does not unlock the house.
